SMT Corp.

After an extensive search for a facility that could support SMT Corp’s growing operational and technical requirements, the decision was made to build a custom headquarters from the ground up. In early 2003, SMT purchased a 9-acre parcel in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. Construction began in July 2003 and was completed in May 2005.

SMT Corp’s 72,000-square-foot headquarters was purpose-built to support the secure inspection, testing, storage, and distribution of electronic components. Located one hour northeast of New York City, the facility includes more than 60,000 square feet of ESD-safe flooring, as well as climate-controlled warehouse and component handling areas designed to protect sensitive inventory.

To support operational security and quality assurance, the facility is equipped with advanced fire detection systems, burglar alarms, and comprehensive video surveillance throughout the complex.

In anticipation of future growth, SMT acquired an additional 12-acre parcel adjacent to its headquarters in 2010. The property is zoned for future industrial and commercial expansion, including the potential development of a 150,000+ square-foot facility or a multi-building technology park.

SMT Labs UK Ltd.

SMT Labs UK Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary and operational division of SMT Corp, established to expand our industry-leading electronic component authenticity testing, AS6171 inspection services, and counterfeit electronic component mitigation solutions across the United Kingdom, Europe, and surrounding regions.

Located in Rochester, UK, SMT UK Labs operates as an extension of SMT Corp’s advanced testing facility in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. The lab follows the same rigorous processes, quality standards, work instructions, and technician training methodologies used throughout our U.S. operations to ensure consistency, reliability, and trusted testing results across all locations.

By expanding our global testing capabilities, SMT Corp strengthens its ability to support customers with secure electronic component sourcing, authentication, inspection, and counterfeit mitigation services in high-reliability industries worldwide.
