SMT Corp.
After an extensive but unsuccessful search for a facility that met the specific requirements and ideal location for SMT Corp’s rapidly growing operations, the decision was made to build from the ground up. In early 2003, SMT purchased a 9-acre parcel in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. Construction began in July 2003 and was completed in May 2005.
SMT Corporation’s 72,000-square-foot headquarters was thoughtfully designed and purpose-built to support the secure inspection, storage, and distribution of electronic components. Located just one hour northeast of New York City, the facility features over 60,000 square feet of ESD-safe flooring, along with climate-controlled (dehumidified and humidified) areas for warehouse and component handling. The entire complex is safeguarded by state-of-the-art fire detection, burglar alarms, and video surveillance systems.
In August 2010, anticipating future growth, SMT acquired an additional 12-acre parcel adjacent to the eastern boundary of its headquarters. This undeveloped industrial/commercial property is zoned to support either a single 150,000+ square-foot structure or multiple buildings as part of a future Technology Park.

SMT Labs UK Ltd.
SMT Corp announced today the opening of SMT Labs UK Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary and operational unit within SMT Corp. This expansion marks a major milestone in our commitment to delivering world-class electronic component AS6171 authenticity testing and counterfeit electronic component mitigation solutions to the UK, Europe, and region.
SMT UK Labs, based in Rochester UK, will adhere to the same processes, standards, work instructions, and training methodologies as SMT Corp’s US facility in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.
