Purpose-Built 72,000 SF Facility

After an unsuccessful search for a suitable building with the needed facility attributes & location desired for SMT Corp’s quickly expanding business we decided to build one. In early 2003 SMT purchased a 9-acre parcel in Sandy Hook CT, broke ground in July 2003 and completed construction in May 2005.

SMT Corporation’s 72,000 square foot facility was carefully designed and purpose-built for the inspection, safe storage and distribution of electronic components. Located in Sandy Hook, Connecticut (1 hour northeast of New York City), the state-of-the-art facility includes over 60,000 square feet of ESD safe floors as well as dehumidified & humidified warehouse and component handling areas. The entire facility and grounds are protected by the latest in fire, burglar and video surveillance security systems.

In August 2010, with future facility and business services growth in mind, SMT purchased additional land immediately adjacent to the eastern-edge of the SMT Corporation facility headquarters property. This undeveloped 12-acre industrial/commercial property is zoned for a single building (150,000+ sf) or multiple building construction (Technology Park).
