SMT Corp.’s 72,000-square-foot headquarters in Sandy Hook, Connecticut was purpose-built to support the company’s electronic component operations. The facility provides dedicated space for inspection, testing, storage, handling, and distribution.
More than 60,000 square feet of ESD-safe flooring helps protect sensitive electronic components during inspection, testing, and handling. Climate-controlled warehouse and component handling areas provide additional environmental control for stored inventory.
Security systems throughout the complex include fire detection, burglar alarms, and comprehensive video surveillance. Together, these measures help protect both the facility and the electronic components handled within it.
SMT purchased the original 9-acre property in 2003 after determining that a purpose-built facility would best support its growing operational and technical requirements. Construction began in July 2003, and the headquarters was completed in May 2005.
As SMT’s operations continued to grow, the company acquired an additional 12-acre parcel adjacent to the headquarters in 2010. The property is zoned for future industrial and commercial development, providing room for potential expansion.
